Khazad-Dûm is an African-style drumming piece that uses djembes, toms and cowbells to create a range of fun and energetic grooves. With plenty of opportunities for improvised solos as well as a metric modulation in the middle, there are plenty of challenges to engage your players. The title is a nod to The Lord of the Rings, when Gandalf mentions the ominous “drums in the deep” whilst in Khazad-Dûm (Moria).
